Falmouth Scientific (FSI) Introduces AquaPulse Acoustic System and Launches New Brand Identity
Falmouth, MA – August 7, 2024 – Falmouth Scientific, Inc. (FSI), a global provider of oceanographic and geophysical instrumentation, is pleased to announce the release of its proven product, the AquaPulse Acoustic System for sediment profiling. This launch is part of FSI’s new rebranding initiative, underscoring its commitment to high-performance acoustic technologies.
The AquaPulse Acoustic System is designed to deliver exceptional capability in sediment profiling, enhancing the capabilities of ocean researchers, survey companies and coastal engineering to support academic, oil and gas, survey and renewable energy projects. Key features include high-resolution data collection, for 2D/3D UHR projects and dependable durability in challenging marine conditions, and seamless integration with existing systems. The AquaPulse series of products include man-portable models for small vessels and larger dual source configurations capable of imaging over 1000ms in just 5-10m water depths.
The rebranding effort of the AquaPulse features a refreshed logo, and a renewed focus on sustainability and technological advancements. The former “Bubble Gun” name was misleading as no bubbles are created and it does not release energy from high pressure air or water such as air guns or water guns. The acoustic signal generated by the AquaPulse is of a lesser amplitude and less than 1/10th of the acoustic pulse duration generated by a 40cui airgun.
The new brand identity reflects FSI’s continued evolution while honoring its history of excellence in marine acoustic technology, and will be visible across all company materials and platforms starting today.
Falmouth Scientific invites industry professionals, partners, and customers to contact FSI to learn more about the AquaPulse Acoustic System.
